Sirius Delphinus Views : 8909 - Rating : 4.93/5 - Rates : 298 A very interesting mythological story about whales and dolphins concerns a tribe in west Africa called the Dogon of Mali. The Dogon, whose culture is alive and well today, at one time lived on the southern coast of the Mediterranean. They have many religious and creation beliefs which very much involve the whales and dolphins. They have perpetuated these beliefs in their religious ceremonies and in the form of sand drawings.
In their basket weavings they had 50.8 divisions, the reason for which is that they had quite specific knowledge of the Sirius star system which is a binary star system. They understood how Sirius B, the white dwarf, moved around the main bright star Sirius A. They used sand drawings to illustrate the orbital paths of the stars. The white dwarf Sirius B takes 50.8 years to complete an orbit of Sirius A. The Dogon knew this. In the 1950's a British astronomer named Robert Temple was traveling on a plane across the Atlantic. Sitting beside him was Arthur C. Clark. Robert Temple began to tell Arthur C. Clark about the new knowledge of the Sirius star system provided by the advancing technology of radio astronomy. Sirius B, the white dwarf, is not visible using a telescope whereas radio astronomy allows one to hear Sirius B. Arthur C. Clark simply said to Temple, "You would be interested in the Dogon." Richard Temple began research on the Dogon and discovered how much knowledge the Dogon had of the Sirius Star System. He then went on to spend seven years of his life with the Dogon and wrote a book called 'The Sirius Mystery'. When Temple went to meet the Dogon he asked, "How did you get this knowledge?" The Dogon's answer was very simple. They said, "These creatures came from the star Sirius landed in the ocean and were in the form of amphibians, whales and dolphins. They gave us the knowledge about the Sirius star system." Then Temple asked, "What else did they tell you?" The Dogon replied, "They told us the story of life on Earth." And their story of life on Earth was as follows: There are three energies on the Planet Earth, Nomo, Onomo and Ogo the unfinished species. Nomo the small whales or dolphins would be the messengers, announcing the time of the sacrifice. Onomo, the great whales, the masters of the water, would be sacrificed for the purification and the re-organisation of the planet, allowing completion. That was their story. Only Sirius A is visible to the human eye. It is in fact the brightest star in the sky. Sirius B is known to us only through listening carefully with a radio telescope. We listen for stars! Sirius Delphinus Views : 11692 - Rating : 4.87/5 - Rates : 99 ~ Zeus & Sirius ~
Sirius is the Delphic friend of Zeus. The Pleiades in the constellation of Taurus are, according to Greek Mythology, the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas and the Oceanid Pleione. Atlas was the child of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaia (Earth). Pleione was a sea nymph, a mythological spirit of nature, a beautiful maiden inhabiting the oceans and one of the daughters of Oceanus. Oceanus is the personification of the great river believed to encircle the whole world. These seven daughters of the Titan Atlas and the Oceanid Pleione were pursued by the hunter Orion until Zeus changed them into a cluster of stars. Zeus is the protector and ruler of humankind, the dispenser of good and evil, and the god of weather and atmospheric phenomena such as rain and thunder. He is known as Indra in the Vedic tradition. [MSEAD]IAngelial - Day 169-2. Delphinus Bodyguard A!! Views : 25800 - Rating : 4.46/5 - Rates : 67 [MSEAD]lAngelial
My blog: http://iangelial.wordpress.com On the 19th of May 2007, Maplers of Delphinus decided to take on BodyGuard A. Bodyguard A is the male boss with sunglasses in black suit. He has a terryfying attack skill which stuns you and punches you which is a whole of damage. So then I was invited to join them on this event. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I wanted to experience it and this was the 1st time we decided to fight it. It wasn't that hard to attack it. But it was really dangerous. I died later on due to the male boss spawning there and I wasn't with HB so I died together with vile too. Lolz. At the end I heard they didn't manage to kill it. But still it was a good try and next time, we'll sure to kill it together with Bodyguard B. And if able, killgrandpa boss too. ^_^ |

[MSEAD]IAngelial - Day 443. Delphinus Vs Horntail 2 Views : 7251 - Rating : 4.83/5 - Rates : 29 [MSEAD]IAngelial
My blog: http://iangelial.wordpress.com DrSinsin took his time to organize a Horntail party. In the end only 24 maplers turned up. A lot couldn't make it as they were busy. I wished we had a full party but it wasn't as easy as it seems. So we had no choice but to continue with 24 maplers. We had a briefing on how to fight horntail. I'm glad that most of the maplers in this run were able to listen. Not many maplers listen to instructions. Fighting Horntail isn't easy and requires deep understanding of what it does. And soon it started. What will the outcome be? Zzz. I'm alredi dead. I wasn't in a good connection condition while fighting horntail. (More about it on my blogsite) |

[MSEAD]IAngelial - Day 370. *HOT* Delphinus vs Grandpa Views : 15545 - Rating : 4.70/5 - Rates : 46 [MSEAD]IAngelial
My blog: http://iangelial.wordpress.com On the 5th of December, us Delphians organize a group or party to go fight Bodyguard A, B and grandpa boss. In the past, we nvr ever succeeded once yet. We decided to give it a try agin tonight. This time it shouldn't be that hare as we're all 4th jobbers now. And so off we went. Fighting bodyguard A and B seems forever but it wasn't actually long. Along the way some DC-ed while some died. The dead were revived so it's pretty much ok. And soon we killed bodyguard B, and it was time for Grandpa boss!! We gave all we had. And the result.. was great ^^ |
