Yep. I did it. It took many months of planning but it finally happened.

So the story? I've been dating a wonderful, amazing woman named Marie for a year and a half now. I knew early on she was the one so when the time came, I wanted to do something really special. And I really wanted it to be a surprise... which is pretty much impossible because this girl can read minds.


You guys know the movie Sister Act 2? Yeah that cheesy one starring Whoopie Goldberg, Lauren Hill etc. Marie's not one for getting sentimental about cheesy things but gospel always seems to get her. Especially at the end of that movie when they sing that gospel classic "Oh Happy Day" Its something she'd randomly play whenever she was feeling down, out of touch, or just needed some faith.


So on this night she thought I was taking her to a new community group/bible study thing with our church. Instead she got the Total Experience Gospel Choir (which wasn't easy lemme tell you) It was pretty amazing. We come in about 1:35 and she had NO idea haha.

After the video the choir director had the choir sing again and she change the words of the song to say:
"Oh happy day
You're engagement day
You're gonna start a new life
You're gonna be Ryan's wife"

Then two women sang solos. "At Last" and "When I fall in love"

Best. Day. Ever.

The greatest Song. It is full with joy.
